How to tell him you want to be more than friends
So you’ve been friends with him forever, and to you and everyone else it is clear that you like him. However, he hasn’t quite caught on to the signals you have been sending him.
Not to worry, Bridget Thompson-Dunkley, romance author, shares three solid reasons why you should take the plunge and tell him you want to be more than just friends.
1. He might just feel the same
You won’t know his feelings unless you share yours with him. Men can be oblivious to these things sometimes and so it is up to you to be the initiator and get the conversation started. You have be willing to risk the embarrassment and uncertainty and find out if there is indeed space in his life for you. Decide on where and when to tell him; somewhere private enough so that the two of you can have some alone time. So muster up the courage, be truthful about your feelings and just tell him. Once you do your part, the ball is now in his court to act.
2.f you don’t, some other woman will
A good man is hot commodity and once you spot one you should not hesitate to move in and claim what could be rightfully yours! Declaring your true feelings to a male friend with confidence can work in your favour as not only will he respect you for being honest, but he will actually consider your proposition seriously. Keep in mind that you may have to spell it out for him but be patient, it could all be rewarding in the end. So put aside the shyness and go and claim what is yours.
3. It’s either now or never
Time is of the essence. You are not getting any younger, time is only moving forward. If he does not like you back, don’t worry about it. Truth be told, there are plenty of fish in the sea but it takes time to find your destined partner.
