Dating horror stories
WHEN we’re doing our dating rounds we meet the good, the bad and the ugly. There are some who are quite the catch, others who can be tolerated, and, of course, the dates from hell — the ones you run from and continue running until you’re sure they can’t find you.
Those horrid dating experiences aren’t unique to any one person, and All Woman cornered a few serial daters who shared their dating horror stories.
Lisa K:
Every man I’ve ever dated has always seemed to want to get it on with me the same night; however, there was one who was different. The first date was at the movies and I thought, what harm could be done? Anyway, in the middle of the show he began nibbling my ear lobe. When I asked what he was doing, he said, “Nothing; I just have an obsession and I needed a release, plus this gives me a kick.” For the mere fact I was enjoying the show, I just switched seats and told him to never call me back.
Kenroy H:
I had been out a few times with a very nice girl from church, and by then I thought I knew her likes and dislikes. It was her birthday and we went to a restaurant and I went ahead and ordered seafood for both of us. Somehow she didn’t want to offend me by revealing to me that she was allergic to seafood, but she ate it and the symptoms of her allergies were the only memorable thing that night. She started itching, her lips and eyes were swollen, and she had diarrhoea. I was totally embarrassed and blamed myself.
René R:
When we arrived at the ticket window for the movie, he told me he had no cash. The thing is, neither did I. So I had to find a way to slowly walk away from the people who were staring at us.
Nicole W:
The horror in my date is twofold. The first is that my family didn’t like him and the second is that he left me stranded at a party. We dated for about six months and he invited me to a party in Vineyard Town, somewhere I had only heard about, but had no clue where it was, how to get there or how to leave there. When the party was in full swing and I was enjoying myself he said he was going to get some drinks, then promptly disappeared. So I went in search of him, only to hear he had left the party. I called my parents and ended up having to sit on a sidewalk and wait until 6:00 am when they decided to come for me.
Mark J:
I dated a girl who seemingly had an obsession with her nostrils. Once we were out eating ice cream and she proceeded to pick her nose, then when I thought the worst already happened, she ate the nose pickings.
André W:
I had a games night at home and asked her to come by. All my friends had brought their girlfriends and I thought OK, we’re dating, so why not bring her? In the middle of the excitement she got up and went to use my bathroom. Apparently one of the guys had left the seat up, and instead of asking me to put it down or using a piece of tissue to put it down, she stood on the toilet seat and slipped off while peeing. When myself and the other guys heard the thud and ran to her assistance, we were all puzzled as to why her foot was in the bowl and she was hanging out. When we found out the reason, my friends kept quiet, but days later, they wouldn’t stop jeering me about the incident.
