The kinds of guys who aren’t worth your time
SOME people advise when dating that you should give each guy who approaches you a fair chance of expressing himself to try and win you over. But while balance is always good, there are some men you should never waste a second of your time with, because they’re simply not worth it.
These include:
The unemployed by choice
No doubt the economy is in decline. But while jobs and job security are scarce commodities, ensure that a man who chooses to be jobless isn’t in your life. Traditionally speaking, men are the breadwinners, unless you have no problem playing the role of a sugar mama to a man who can afford to work.
The sexist
Women have for ages fought for equality and respect from men. Being with a man who will ridicule your ambitions or dictate what you should be doing just because you’re female is demeaning.
The recurrent father
Also known as the baby daddy, this is the man who has many children with many women. Take heed, you will eventually become one of his statistics. Don’t think you can change him; he is set in his ways. Find someone who respects the idea of a stable family.
The man on the corner
Similar to the man who is unemployed by choice, this individual is stereotyped as the one who “kneads his hand middle”. But while this is not always true, what’s observed is that such men engage in a lot of idle talk or gossip. You don’t want to be slandered.
The frequent partygoer
Men who frequent parties and bars, especially if they go alone, are usually carefree, unsettled and looking for the next chick to use their lame pick-up lines on. If you’re a wild child seeking a similar partner, that’s up to you; but if you’re looking for something serious and someone responsible, a frequent partygoer is not that individual, moreso if he’s always drunk in that sort of atmosphere.
The womaniser
You’ll forever be competing for his favours, and his admiration for you won’t go beyond a compliment. This is the type of man who’s a charmer, using honeyed words, but realistically speaking, he has already seduced scores of women. Again, you’ll just be a statistic.
The curser
If he curses and swears a lot, then he isn’t worth your time. If you proceed further than formalities, he will eventually begin to disrespect you.
The overly confident man
The cocky guy will always be caught up in himself. Chances are you will end up feeding his ego, without having your self-esteem boosted. The compliments will all go to him and not to you.
