Problems only single women have
Many women who are in relationships envy their single friends who are free to do what they want, when they want, without answering to anyone but themselves. So what in the world could a single woman have to complain about? Denecia Green, author of Lies, Sex & Betrayal, shares four problems encountered by this group.
1. Constantly worrying about becoming a bitter single
Sometimes some women have been single for so long that before they know it, they become the sad, annoying, bitter person that they desperately tried to avoid.
2. Fantasising about random people becoming your spouse
Some single women make up imaginary futures with random people; tending to formulate their idea of a perfect man by pulling characteristics from various men and creating the happy fairy tale life they would love to have.
3. Repeatedly hearing from your loved ones that you need to be “less picky”.
This remark becomes inevitable, especially when you have been off the market for a while. Your loved ones don’t view the situation as simply being unable to attract your heart’s desire, instead you are pressured to lower your standards and settle for a package you don’t necessarily want, all in the name of changing that status from ‘single’ to ‘taken’.
4. Constant pressure to meet new people
Single women will always come under attack from those friends or loved ones who constantly try to arrange blind dates or introduce them to a friend of their spouse or just about anyone they can find just to see you start dating again. People in relationships seem unable to fathom the fact that some women are completely comfortable with being single.
