Could your guy be gay?

INFIDELITY in a marriage or long-term relationship is one thing; infidelity when your partner is involved with someone of the same sex is another. It was this dilemma that Jane H was faced with some years ago when, after a few years of marriage, she caught her husband in the act with another man. The devastation and humiliation trumped any she could have felt had it been with another woman, she said.

She explained that the signs weren’t overt at all, or maybe she was in denial. In fact, she saw her ex-husband as merely meterosexual. It was only after seeing the actual evidence that it hit home for her, that her man was swinging the other way.

But there are signs, she says — some obvious, some not so — that women should note that may hint that their men aren’t straight. These include:

1. He has very few macho male friends

“If your guy spends a lot of time around females only, or the one male friend he does have is effeminate, then don’t ignore that sign,” she said.

2. He is obsessed with mirrors

According to Jane, when your guy checks himself out in every mirror or reflective surface possible, that is not manly behaviour.

3. He seeks the opinion of men about his image

“When your guy sends selfies to his male friends to ask them which they think is sexiest for him to put on Facebook, don’t shrug it off,” she said.

4. He can strut in heels

She said be very aware if he can walk better in heels than you.

5. He always needs to speak to his male friends in private

If every time your guy has a conversation with a male friend he has to leave the room, Jane said they could be having more than an innocent conversation.

6. His male friends have a female alias for him

If your guy spends hours on the phone talking to his male best friends and refuses to talk to you; or they call each other feminine nicknames, Jane said that’s a clear sign.

7. He can do the moves to Beyoncé tunes blindfolded

Jane said this is a clear signal and warned women that if their partners know every choreographed move to any of Beyoncés songs, then they might just be gay.

8. He shaves everything

She said if your guy is obsessed with shaving off every single piece of hair on his body and freaks out if there is one hair out of place, then he could be gay.

9. His walk is feminine

“If your guy walks more like a female than you do, you don’t need another warning sign,” she said.

10. He’s into make-up

Jane said another sign is if he wears more make-up than you, or shaves his eyebrows more frequently.

11. He fears dirt

She said if he hates getting dirty and any form of sports scare him, then he is no macho man.

12. His nails are done

According to Jane, if he always has a well-done manicure and chipping his nails infuriate him, take it as a sign.

13. You’re nowhere on his social media

“If he never has a profile picture of you or both of you on any social media of his, but he is pictured with men, then that’s worrying,” Jane said.

14. He’s only into anal sex

“If he’s obsessed with anal sex, he is definitely gay. Why would a man choose that instead of a vagina?” she asked.
