Highway robbery
Trust is the foundation that all good relationships are built on. A shaky foundation can lead to many cracks in the mansion of love. But in every relationship a few cracks will appear here and there, although most are patched up somehow or the other.
But what about those cracks that not even the most skilled mason can fix? What about the crack in your bank account, that joint account that you opened with your boo, the account that you were both using to save for a rainy day, that boo emptied?
“I went into a partner with one of my exes and when I was to get my draw, she collected for me without me even knowing,” explained Seymour.
“When I found out and asked her about it she said she had to use it on some personal stuff. A few weeks later she got her draw and she didn’t even give me back half my money. I got upset and told her I didn’t trust her. She told everyone I was a mean man. But my savings are my savings, my money is my money, not ours.”
What would you do if you woke up one day and found out that your man/woman had left you, and had taken the money in your bank account as well?
Damian, 25:
These are the things that make you wary of people. I don’t trust any woman so I would never put myself in a position where she would steal my hard-earned money.
Roy, 52:
She would be a mad woman to mess with my money like that. I would have to find her and get back my money. She would be crazy.
Penny, 22:
I would cry. What would I have done to deserve such treatment? These are the reasons why I don’t believe in sharing everything in a relationship because when things go bad you are left with nothing.
Bre-Anna, 27:
That would not sit well with me at all. I couldn’t care less if he leaves, I just want back my money.
Yvette, 38:
I would hunt him down like the heartless person he is and demand that he give me back my money. And if he refused to give it back, then I would take something of his of the value of the money he stole.
Colleen, 37:
I would be very angry. I’m not sure what would be the outcome, but I know it wouldn’t be nice.
Richard, 29:
I’m not sure what I would do. I know I would be upset but after time the pain would go away. Sometimes you just have to let things go and leave people to time. She would get what’s coming to her without me causing her grief.
Debbie, 36:
This would be the heights of slackness. I would have to find him, fly high or fly low, if I even have to find his dead granny grave to make noise and raise her duppy. I’d want back my money.
