New baby, new lady: the best of 2015
WHAT has been your best moment of 2015? The readers below share:
Dawson:
I held my beautiful angel in my arms for the first time. It was beautiful bonding with her while she was in the womb, but nothing compared to the first time I laid eyes on her.
Orando:
After a stressful period being away from my family — my girlfriend, mom, sister and niece — the love that inundated the room when we were finally back together was like a breath of fresh air.
Michelle:
After eight surgeries my old guy and best friend is still alive. After that last surgery when he ran his hand across mine, I knew my year was made.
Keisha:
My daughter graduated with honours. We struggled through the programme; we never took handouts; and we stayed committed to our mission. Watching my baby holding that certificate was my everything.
Li-Ann:
She walked. My baby walked just a few days ago. She had been teasing me but she finally did it and I’m so happy.
Oniesh:
I vowed to spend the rest of my life with a woman who has been everything and more to me. I sometimes feel like I don’t deserve her but I am grateful she loved me enough to have married me.
Leroy:
We see people suffering everyday — they go hungry, they are homeless and scared — but I am humbled to have been able to help people who have been nothing but grateful. Giving back and helping out were my best 2015 moments.
Tiffany:
I finally met my dad after 19 years. I was mad that he left but it could have been more challenging if he didn’t. My dad is real after all!
Teisha:
I got baptised earlier this year. It is the best decision that I have made and the most amazing relationship that I started.
Naydene:
I finally started a business I was told I couldn’t — it’s called determination.
