I want the gifts back
So you were in a relationship and you poured your heart, soul, and hard-earned cash into it. You showered your partner with gifts and bent over backwards to make them happy. But what was once sweet has now gone sour, and you feel somewhat cheated out of your investment.
Would you go as far as to ask back for the gifts you gave your former significant other?

I don’t believe in taking back any gift that I have given to a woman. Once you give it to her, it is hers. Why would I be so evil to go and take it back or ask her to return it? If it was of value to me then I would not have given it to her, I would have kept it for myself.

I wouldn’t ask a woman for a gift I got her. A real man is never so petty and bitter. But if it were an engagement ring, then that would be different. She should have the sense to know that she should give me back that ring without waiting for me to ask.

I wouldn’t give him back a thing, not even a sweetie. If I committed myself to you and you gave me gifts, then they are mine, not ours, but mine. Likewise, if I gave him anything I wouldn’t expect him to give it back.

You have some men who would take back their things and if I were in a position where a guy asked me back for anything he gave me, I would give it back to him out of pity based on his level of stupidity. Sometimes it’s best to let go of things that are no longer of value.

If she and I were together and started to build a life together, example I bought her stuff for her place while we were living together, then if we broke up I want my stuff back. I’m not going to have her bring in a new man in there, living large off my blood and sweat. Let him buy her a new fridge and stove.
