Dating deal-breakers
What are some of the no-nos when it comes to dating? What can you absolutely not tolerate in a mate?
Below people share some of their dating deal-breakers.
Kareem, 29:
A woman who talks about wanting to get married. If every other sentence is about settling down and being wifed up, then I have to go. Look, we just met. Allow things to happen. Allow the river to follow its natural course. Don’t go digging a hole in the dirt and trying to make it flow in the direction you want it to go.
Mel:
Hearing him talk badly about his ex. He might not be over her and might be upset, but if he is talking about her like this, what will he be saying about me? No matter what happens in a past relationship, I don’t think it’s right to bring that anger into a new relationship.
Shaunakay, 24:
If he tells me he has no friends, that would scare me off. Who doesn’t have even one good friend? It’s one thing to be a loner, but then there is also the potential to be clingy.
Tahlia, 31:
A man who has too many kids and too many baby mothers. That to me only spells drama.
Tony, 36:
A selfish woman who only thinks about herself and who only wants to do the things she likes.
