Ensuring a healthy relationship
THERE is indeed a formula for a healthy relationship — and once you master all the steps, your union will flourish. If it doesn’t succeed, that person is simply not for you.#1: Communication#2: Please your lover#3: Respect for each other’s lives
You have to make it a priority to communicate and do so with a high degree of love and respect. Learn to say what you want and actually want what you are asking for. Your partner cannot read your mind; you have to talk and have the tough conversations. When there is an argument, avoid avoidance. Learn to confront issues and never leave arguments open, but always find solutions to the problems.
Sex is extremely important as it brings you and your lover together. But things can go sour if you are unaware of your partner’s intimate needs and desires and you are basically pleasing yourself. If both parties are on different pages, it opens the door to infidelity and possible relationship failure. There must be a middle ground on which both parties can engage intimately to please each other.
In all things, there must be freedom. If you imprison or try to enslave your partner to you, they will eventually run away from you. You have to be respectful of your partner and their individual life, even if you are married. So ladies, avoid hacking your man’s phone, and searching his clothes and his apartment. Gentlemen, avoid stalking your woman and bugging her phone to listen to her conversations. There must be boundaries in all things for all things to succeed.
