I realised it when she said, “It’s funny how you tell me you love me every night, yet every morning I wake up in another man’s bed.”

I found out after the second major break-up. This was preceded by a “one foot in, one foot out” attitude as if he wasn’t sure. Then he tried to “rescue” the relationship by telling me that his mom really liked me and that’s why he was going to fight for us to be together. On top of that I found out that he hadn’t kicked his old habit of cybersex with random women, while I wasn’t getting any action.

When he started annoying me and I didn’t want to spend time with him. He knew I liked my own space and we agreed on times to spend with each other. However, he totally breached that agreement and overstayed his welcome on many occasions. He would pop up unannounced and literally suffocate me with his presence. When it got out of hand I realised he could never respect my wishes. It sounds selfish, but I really value my personal space and couldn’t handle being invaded like that and him not respecting that at times I just wanted to be alone.

Dane:

She left me when I was at my lowest ebb financially, emotionally, and mentally. That’s when I realised how uncaring she was.

We were already history and he was in a very tight spot. He reached out for help and I assisted because although we had our differences, he was my friend. When the tables turned and I needed help, he said he couldn’t do it because his girlfriend would be upset.
