The issue of control
Love is the freedom to choose, but for some men who control, freedom of choice is of no consequence to them. A few days ago, a woman was the subject of a local TV news story, recalling how she was attacked by her lover, who said if he couldn’t have her, no one else could. In the middle of the night, he slashed her throat, and only quick action by her neighbours kept her alive.VA:Ruby:CF:
At what point do you recognise that a partner is controlling? What do you do?
I have been seeing this guy for several months now and things were awesome in the beginning, as usual, but he kept being sweet until he started to pay my bills. Now it is like a complete disaster as he tells me what to eat, where to go, and even how to dress. I am really fed up because this man treats me like I am 16 and I am 30 years old! It is really getting to me because I feel imprisoned.
I had an ex who stalked the life out of me and I literally had to get the police involved for him to leave me alone. I don’t play any more when the signs start to show in the dating stage. Once I see a tinge of control, that is the last date. I’d rather kill that relationship than lose my life.

I am not going to say walk out and leave because some situations are different and if you try to leave he will kill you. I look out for the signs at the start and pray they show up so I can decide to either go further or not.
I don’t know, but I love when my man is jealous. I love when my man says he can’t live without me.
