Should you go further after a bad date?
If a promising date turns out to be a dud, what do you do? What if there’s no chemistry – only awkwardness, no good conversation, no spark? Should you go any further if the first date was a yawn?
Tricia:
I would call it quits. This actually happened to me. I met this handsome guy and we went out with his best friend and he was more into his best friend than me. That was the last date. Chemistry is important so if you can’t even talk to me and enjoy it, sorry, but I am out.
Matthew:
I would maybe give it another shot especially if I really like the person. Sometimes the second time is the charm. The person could be nervous and anxious the first time and if I can do anything to make her comfortable around me, I would.
Carol:
My first date with my husband was a horror. First we had car problems, then when we got to the restaurant he realised he had left his wallet so I had to pay. Then the rain came down when he was taking me home, and because the car was having issues we couldn’t use the AC, so another car passed and splashed us nicely. I went out with him again, though, and we are now married with three children. Good memories.
KL:
If it goes wrong on day one, I am bouncing. It’s a sign.
