If all your exes were gathered in one room, what would they say about you?
IT’s all water under the bridge now — you no longer fall asleep on tear-soaked pillows, drown yourself in comfort food or alcohol to suppress the pain, or consistently talk about the break-up with your ex to your mutual friends. In fact, you can safely say that you’re ready to move on or you already have. But even though you may have moved on, if you have done any retrospection, you may have realised a trend in your relationships, because after all, most people have a type, and most people can’t change their personalities. Were you a major factor in the break-up? Is there any fault of yours that keeps recurring in relationships? Or were you super perfect? If all your exes could gather in one room to talk about you, what would they complain about or praise you on?
Shanique, receptionist/ bartender, 25:They would all say that I have the good stuff and I care a lot, but my attitude stinks.
Paula, nurse, 32:I’m compassionate, yet cold-hearted, bossy and fun.
Marvin, computer technician, 29:They would say that I was too damn wild [womanising].
Davion, contractor, 43:Exes could say many things, but the common thing I am sure they all would agree on is that the sex was great.
Shawna, assistant professor, 26:That I’m the best ex-girlfriend that they ever had — loving, caring, etc
Shanna, lawyer, 25:Not that I have many exes, but I’m sure they’d say inter alia that I’m loyal, loved them dearly, I’m a perfectionist and neat freak, I gave our relationship my all, I’m attentive and supportive, I’m very determined, I loved ‘us’ time, I think things through before acting, and they’d love to have me back.
Andrew, musician, 37:I think they would say that I’m smart, quiet, easygoing, nice, freaky when needed, playful, handsome and talented.
Shawn, accountant, 24:That I’m feisty, love to drink (alcohol), I make light of anything and everything, always laughing, I love sex and arguing just as much.
Kason, architect, 35:They would say that I am a keen listener and that I generally put them above myself and my needs.
NicWayne, financial analyst, 23:I am a planner, romantic, emotional, kind, caring, honest. I like to spoil them/cater to them, I’d rather stay home and lie in bed and talk; I love being with my better half just sharing each other’s space. I overthink at times, I’m supportive, but I’m miserable and moody at times.
Nieka, consultant, 28:Just two things — I love too hard and I’m spoilt.
Jason, teacher, 35:Undoubtedly, they would say that I loved cricket more than I ever did love them, but they can’t deny that I was jovial and always made them laugh.
Adrian, chemist, 24:I’m a loving and caring person who is always supportive and motivating. Oh, and they would say I love sex.
Shane, entrepreneur, 46:Well, that I loved the girls, stayed out too much and didn’t listen much, but I made sure that the needs of my family were met and my woman was always well taken care of. Overall they’d say I have a good heart because my generosity extended to strangers.
