Little things that make him more attractive
CERTAINLY, a good-looking man is every woman’s weakness, but for most women attraction runs deeper than just skin. In fact, many women would trade a handsome face for a man whose qualities are so endearing that they simply make you melt. All Woman asked readers to share the qualities, apart from the physical, that make a man more attractive. Here is what they had to say:
Patricia, 46, business owner:It’s a man who is family-oriented — he’ll drop anything at work because his family needs him. A man who will hold your hands, rub and kiss your forehead when you’re sick or even had a bad day; a man who will help around the house and who is a good example to his children.
Alicia, 24, administrative assistant:He does kind gestures like rubbing my feet, making me breakfast in bed and running me hot baths. A man who isn’t afraid to communicate how he truly feels, is confident but not cocky, makes sure that my comfort is a priority, and is full of surprises.
Abby, 28, event planner:He must have a fun personality (I thrive on humour). I like a man who smells good, and has a positive attitude about life in general. I like my men clean and sharp, intelligent, and he MUST practise proper hygiene. He also must be a gentleman who opens the door and holds my hands.
Olesia, translator, 34:I like a man who gives me his attention without being stingy, especially when I need it most, a man who is always there for me and gifts me when I least expect it — a handwritten card… I am into sentiments and so these little things matter to me. I love a man who takes pride in his scent and appearance, and is a handyman around the house.
Jan, teacher, 30:I love a man with a low-cut beard, a nice smile with clean, plaque-free teeth, and a clean-smelling body.
Michelle, caregiver, 38:I like a man who loves to cook. There is just something sexy about a man in the kitchen, one who is passionate about loving me and always wants to protect me. He should be a provider for his family, and he should be able to engage in meaningful, soulful conversations. He should have a nice butt and be an awesome gentleman to me and to all the women in his life. I want a man who adores his mother, because it could say something about the way he will treat me.
Toni-Ann, 34, bartender:I like a man who knows how to use words, even if I don’t know the meaning. I want a man with a firm butt — so a guy who goes to the gym. Working out with him could help me lose this belly. He should be a man who tries to understand me. He should be respectful, take pride in the way he looks, and be very spontaneous — you know, willing and ready to do it anywhere.
