How to rid yourself of past hurts
Getting over the past is extremely important to your present, and ultimately your future. This is important because you will take the scars to your present relationship if they are not dealt with, and there will be a repeat of history.
So take time to:
1. Vent. You must release yourself from everything and you can do this by journalling, talking to someone professionally trained to counsel, or someone you trust. Venting is critical because it puts the problem on the table right before you.
2. Reset. When you reset a cellphone, it deletes all data stored and this can be done somewhat with the mind. You have the power within you to remove the stains of past hurts by deciding that although you have been hurt, you refuse to let it hold you captive to the point where you stop believing in love or ever finding your soulmate.
3. Set new boundaries. Spend time with yourself to create new limits.
4. Date again. It is okay after doing the other steps to go out and date again. Dating is not a relationship but you getting your feet wet again to see where it leads.
