Advice from mom

Who is better to give you sound advice than the one who loves you unconditionally? The relationship women have with their mothers transcends all others, as the women below share.

Jody:

My mother and I share a very close relationship. She is always giving me relationship advice but the one that stood out to me being an adult is the power of self-confidence. She taught me not to build my life around a man. I never took that advice for granted and I pass it on to every woman I encounter.

Verne:

I talk to my mother about everything, and she always advised me, even before I got married, to never go to bed angry with my husband and to never deprive my husband of sex as a means to take revenge. I have a daughter who is about to turn 18 in a few weeks and I am grooming her the same way my mother did me because I still believe in marriage and love.

MC:

My mother is my world, literally, because she taught me everything including advice to never sell myself short. I have learnt that I cannot make a man faithful but I can be faithful to myself. My mother taught me to love myself first.

Shelly:

I have an open relationship with my mother to the point where it feels like I am talking to my best friend. I do talk to my mom about sex and she even gave me some tips too, and they work! Your mother is there to guide you.
