What kids want for Christmas
CHRISTMAS might be the most anticipated time of year for most children. They are excited about the twinkling lights, decorating the trees, enjoying cheerful Christmas movies, and best of all, unwrapping their Christmas gifts with family members.
This week we asked children to share what they are looking forward to most this Christmas holiday. This is what they had to say:
Jay-Sean, 4:
I want a very big Christmas tree with a blue present under it, with a very big car that I can drive in, and a tablet.
Tressane, 8:
This year, mommy is buying a Christmas tree for the first time and I am really excited about that. I am happy about picking up my gifts from under the tree with my family this year.
Jason, 6:
There will be a lot of candies and all my cousins, cooking and fun games. And most of all, I also want a PS4 and a big bike.
Gayanne, 8:
I want one of the very big dolls like the one I saw on TV. My mommy promised me one and I also want to see the look on her face when she opens her present. Daddy and I bought her something very special, but I cannot say what it is because daddy says that it is a secret.
Jessica, 10:
I am looking forward to performing on the Christmas show at church and also singing at our family Christmas party.
Aija, 7:
This Christmas I cannot wait for my baby sister to be born because I want someone to play with and she is going to be born on Christmas day like Jesus. I also really miss my grandma and grandpa, and they are going to be here all of Christmas.
Kate, 12:
I wish that I could see my father for Christmas, but he is in heaven, so I guess I am just happy that I can spend it with my mother and siblings because at least we have each other. We are not crazy about Christmas since Daddy died, but this year we are making small gifts for each other. I am excited to see what they will make for me and to see how much they like what I made for them.
Jahmeil, 11:
My family and I are going to stay at a hotel for three days. I am looking forward to it very much because we will all be together and I don’t have to be worried about helping to wash the dishes or doing housework because it will be done for me. On a more serious note, it will be nice to spend time with my family. I don’t know if I should expect any gifts, though, because my mother keeps saying that the hotel trip took every dollar.
