Single on V-Day? Make the most of the day
VALENTINE’S Day is recognised as a special day of love for many couples, and if you happen to be single, the loneliness can be depressing. But singles can also enjoy the day, and there is no shame in getting your single gal pals together to have some fun. An outing with your friends can be quite entertaining, according to the women who share their thoughts below.
Rachel J, 34:
Three of us as friends are single, so Valentine’s Day is just going to be another girls’ night out. This time we’re going to step it up. We’re thinking of going somewhere out of the parish for a few days and have a good time as friends.
Michelle K, 30:
My girlfriends and I will be doing a Valentine pixie. We’re going to send the gifts to each other’s workplace. After work we’ll meet up, have a movie night, and talk about our co-workers’ reactions to our ‘anonymous gifts’.
Sabrina M, 20:
We’re single and broke. The night of Valentine’s Day my friends and I will just get together and binge-watch romance movies.
Gabrielle B, 35:
We’re going clubbing. One of my friends had an awful break-up recently and it’s a good way to cheer her up.
Jennifer M, 37:
I am going to drag my friends with me to watch Fifty Shades Freed. We have nothing else to do, and we have to do something. I mean, it will be Valentine’s Day!
Sasha R, 25:
My cousin and I are having a little dinner party for our single friends. It will be five of us.
Laura C, 32:
My best friend and I are treating ourselves to a spa day. It is well needed and Valentine’s Day is the best day for this.
