Would you rather be rich and single or poor and in love?

Would you rather be rich and single or poor and in love?

By Miss Kes

Many people have the career and the wealth but they remain lonely, while others don’t have two pennies to rub together, but find fulfillment in love.

We asked people, would you rather be rich and single or poor and in love?

Simpson:

I would rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable. I am a teacher and I instill in my students every day to ensure they build a career, but to also create memories and don’t forget to smell the roses. We tend to overlook the simple things in life and when we get to the finish line, we are a deep bucket filled with regrets.

Shadae:

Life is about getting that money, but it is also about spending time enjoying what you worked for.

Mark:

Money is important, yes, but I won’t spend my days being a slave to the point where I actually forget to live. Life is short and we don’t get a second chance so we just have to make the one chance worth it.

Joy:

I’ve experienced the ‘poor but in love’ life and trust me, it’s not fulfilling. Love can’t full belly or pay the light bill. If I had a choice, I would stay by myself and be wealthy, rather than live in poverty with only love keeping us grounded.
