Basic school students fêted for National Children’s Day

THE Sagicor Foundation fêted students, staff and parents from its Adopt-A-School Programme to a fun day filled with games, animal petting, lots of treats and other activities at Hope Zoo, St Andrew, on National Children’s Day, May 20. The schools present were John Anglin Basic School in Warsop, Trelawny, Bermaddy Basic School in Linstead, St Catherine, and Charles Town Basic School in Charles Town, Portland.

As the kids had a blast on the playground and indulged in endless snow cones, the adults participated in a financial wellness session with experts from Sagicor Bank, Sagicor Life and Sagicor Investments while volunteers chaperoned the festivities. In honour of teacher’s day, which was recognised earlier in May, the educators received gifts while the little ones received special Child Month goodie bags. Here are some highlights.
