School boy in police custody after fatal stabbing in Portland
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Port Antonio police have arrested a 15-year-old school boy after he allegedly fatally stabbed a male on the Foreshore Road in the vicinity of the bus park about 4:20 Monday afternoon.
The dead male has been identified as Jeremy Ferguson also known as Tarzan, whose age has not yet been determined by the police.
Initial reports are that the accused and three other school boys were gambling behind a public lavatory close to the bus park when a fracas developed.
According to the initial reports, the three school boys left and returned with three adults, including Ferguson.
They proceeded to attack the accused who allegedly used a knife to stab Ferguson.
He was taken to the Port Antonio Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Port Antonio police are investigating.
