Man dies in St Elizabeth crash

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A man has succumbed to injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash on the Goshen main road in St Elizabeth Tuesday night.

Police identified the crash victim as Clevaughn Hood of a Manchester address.

Police reports are that about 10:00 pm Hood was driving a Honda Civic motorcar eastbound when a Toyota Hilux travelling in the opposite direction veered towards the right of the roadway into the path of the Honda Civic motor car causing a collision.

Hood was pulled from the mangled vehicle and was taken to the Black River Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The crash is being investigated by the St Elizabeth Traffic Department and the Area Three Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Unit.
