BZR Wknd organisers commit to ticket, travel, accommodation refunds

KINGSTON, Jamaica —Patrons who made travel or accommodation arrangements specifically to attend and support the now postponed BZR Wknd 2026 event will be compensated, organisers said on Tuesday, acknowledging the disappointment of fans following the cancellation of headlining act Cardi B.

Expressing sincere apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment, the organisers in a statement acknowledged that many patrons had made plans and invested time, and while noting that they hope patrons will hold on to tickets for the rescheduled date, December 20, 2026 said:

“If you prefer a refund, while we would genuinely hate to see you go, we completely understand. you may submit your request to eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com.”

For those who made travel or accommodation arrangements specifically to attend and support BZR Wknd Jamaica 2026, the organisers committed to a refund as well as a complimentary BZR Wknd ticket of equal or lesser value of the original purchase price upon submission of valid proof of ticket purchase and proof of booked travel and/or accommodations.

For anyone wishing to hold on to their tickets organisers are promising a more spectacular show.

“We have something truly special and a star-studded experience in store for you. We are committed to making this worth the wait and delivering an unforgettable experience,” the statement read.

Organisers also thanked patrons for believing in them while stressing that they were “committed to making this right.”

“We love and appreciate you, and will not let you down,” the team said.

The sentiment follows the cancellation of headlining act Cardi B just over a week before the concert was set to happen. The artiste has maintained she had tried her best and “I waited I and waited for things to get in place and together, but it didn’t”.

BZR Wknd also maintained they fulfilled their payment obligations and the cancellation had been caused by circumstances beyond their control.
