The injured woman, said to be in her 30s, has been admitted at hospital in serious condition.

Residents say at about 10:00 am loud explosions were heard coming from the couple’s home.

“I heard the gunshot and saw a man jump in his car and sped off. The lady called out for help and neighbours took her from under a clothesline and rushed her to hospital. She was pinning out laundry when she was shot,” a resident said.

Detectives processed the scene mid-afternoon Tuesday and said the woman was undergoing surgery until 4:00 pm.
