NChann Soriano rolls out two-part Vengeance Project
Recording artiste NChann Soriano is set to release The Vengeance Project this month.
A two-part release, it starts with Volume One – The Mixtape, which comprises four original freestyles written by the singer but voiced dub plate style on some of reggae and dancehall’s most iconic rhythms. These include the Show Off and Bam Bam rhythms.
Volume Two – The FIXTAPE is an ode to a completely new version of NChann Soriano, with another four brand-new songs and original rhythms.
“The overall inspiration for this project was me going through a bit of a transformation within myself. It has been a roller-coaster ride of a journey trying to establish myself in the music business, especially in the last three years since COVID. I’ve been through enormous amounts of growth as not just an independent artiste but as a businesswoman, entrepreneur and, most of all, as a music mogul,” the singer told the Jamaica Observer.
The project follows her first EP JAMERICANA which was released in April 2022 and produced by Its Beez da TrackStar and mixed and mastered by Ddot of The Riddim Nation.
The success of this EP since its release gave the singer a great sense of accomplishment, which she hopes will carry over into these upcoming projects.
“Not many females in dancehall can say that they are not just the artiste but a label/ production house owner. I have, for the most part, full creative control over my music and image as well as the majority of my work, which I have a solid amount of production input in as well. With this, I am proud to say I have earned the respect of my male colleagues,” the singer added.
Based in New York, NChann Soriano connects with her audience through music that reflects real-life experiences and genuine thoughts. With past releases such as Live Pon Mi Name, Christmas Prayer and Bruck It Off featuring BabyBang and Maze, the artiste says she is steadily building her brand and reaching her potential in her own authentic way.
“I would love for my listeners to embrace my triumph and strength, especially for the ones who have yet to know me. Unlike many other artistes, I don’t have a ‘persona’ or a second personality as the artiste or performer. I am my music and content. So whereas you have an artiste singing songs and then you learn about the real them in an interview or something like that, where they step out of character, I have already told my story into every song,” NChann Soriano said.
