Black River ITA Service Hub to reopen October 13
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica —The Black River Service Hub of the Island Traffic Authority (ITA) is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and will resume services nearly a year after it was damaged along with much of the waterfront town by Hurricane Melissa.
The ITA on Monday said it has since implemented the necessary measures to restore services at the location.
The reopening takes place ahead of the 45-day timeline set by the new director-general to restore services at the location, allowing motorists and other members of the public in St Elizabeth to once again access ITA services there.
The ITA thanked the people of St Elizabeth for their patience, cooperation and understanding during the temporary closure.
