ST JAMES, Jamaica— A British man who was reportedly held with more than seven kilograms of cocaine at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, has been charged.
David Anthony Thomas, 58, a construction worker from Tottenham, England, has been charged with possession, dealing, attempting to export and conspiracy to export cocaine.
Thomas is to appear before the St James Parish Court on Friday.
Thomas was arrested by the Narcotics police last Wednesday after he was intercepted at the airport while attempting to board a departing flight to Manchester, England.

Police reported that his luggage was searched, and the cocaine, which values approximately £200,000 (J$33.8 million), was found and seized.
On Saturday, two British men were held with cocaine at the same airport in separate incidents which occurred almost three hours apart.
