Gray among starters; Bailey and Antonio lead Boyz attack vs Canada
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Reggae Boyz head coach Hemier Hallgrimsson has named a strong starting 11 for the rescheduled first leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal game against Canada at the National Stadium on Saturday morning.
The game, which was originally set for Friday evening, was pushed back to 10:30 Saturday morning due to a flooded field caused by heavy rainfall associated with the passage of a low pressure weather system.
Demarai Gray was not included in the starting team as it appears he has not fully recovered from a muscle injury that kept him out of training, but Michail Antonio and Leon Bailey will lead the attack.
Youngsters Dexter Lembikisa and Di’Shon Bernard will start in the defense that also includes Ethan Pinnock and Greg Leigh. Captain Andre Blake returns in goal.
