Man in viral video intimidating passengers in a taxi, charged
Thirty-two-year-old Ramone Silvera has been charged with assault at common law, disorderly conduct and indecent language

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting that a man seen in a viral video harassing and intimidating passengers in a taxi in downtown Kingston on Monday has been charged.

Charged with assault at common law, disorderly conduct and indecent language is 32-year-old Ramone Silvera.

Silvera, who gave his occupation as ‘professional clown’, was captured on camera demanding that passengers exit a taxi that was allegedly unwilling to participate in Monday’s protest. The footage went viral and subsequently led to Silvera’s arrest.

He is scheduled to appear before the courts on January 12, 2023.
