KINGSTON, Jamaica – Selecta Rolexx Productions may not be a name that creates waves when mentioned on the local music circuit. Nevertheless, the music coming from the label and the man behind it are. Still riding high off the success of D’Yani’s breakout single, Heaven Telegram, Selecta Rolexx believes he has found another hit single. This time, the track sees the creative working with entertainer Deep Jahi on an inspirational single titled, Mirror.

Describing himself as one who takes great pride in producing positive music, Rolexx said the single touches a universal topic, one he hopes will resonate with all audiences.

“When I was recording this track, I wanted it to reach every household globally. It’s one of those songs everybody can relate to — Christian, sinners, Rastafarians, Muslim, Jews — whoever you are this song will resonate with you because it’s a life topic,” Rolexx told OBSERVER ONLINE.

“Everywhere you go in the world, there is a battle to face, a struggle to overcome. Look around,friend a hurt friend, friend a bring friend guh pon corner fi hurt dem, friends nuh believe inna what u doing. The state of the society is basically a mirror of how we live as a people.”

The creative, who has his roots in music as a selector, says so far the single has been doing great and is further testament that him, getting into production was a good decision.

“The feedback so far has been great. I tested the song on the radio before releasing digitally and the record was on repeat. I am originally a selector so I have an ear for music. Heaven Telegram proved that and now this is about to cement any doubts anyone may have about my producing skills,” he said, indicating that the collaboration between himself and Deep Jahi was a recipe for success.

“Me and the artist share the same views for a while now and we have been talking about when we do get to do a song how we wanted it to touch every soul, young and old and I think this is it,” he said.

“Deep Jahi is a free spirit youth and him energy pure plus him know music. The timing for the track was perfect and the entertainer who delivered the message couldn’t have been more solid.”

Mirror was released September 9 and is available on all digital platforms.
