ST ANN, Jamaica – A taxi operator was shot and killed by gunmen in Great Pond, Ocho Rios in St Ann on Tuesday evening.
He has been identified as 62-year-old Kenrick Emanuel Mignott of Warrick Mount, Great Pond in Ocho Rios.
Police reports are that about 8:45 pm, gunmen boarded Mignott’s Toyota Probox posing as passengers and attempted to rob him of his vehicle.
It is reported that Mignott resisted and was shot.
He was then reportedly forced from the vehicle and shot again, where he stumbled and fell along the roadway.
The men then escaped with his vehicle.
Investigations continue.
