Two arrested in connection with gun find in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – A man and a woman were arrested following the seizure of an illegal firearm and 14 rounds of ammunition during an operation in Big Bridge in Westmoreland on Monday.
The identities of both suspects are being withheld pending investigations.
Reports from the Westmoreland police are that the duo were in the Big Bridge area at approximately 11:00 am when a premises occupied by them was searched.
A Smith & Wesson pistol with ammunition was found inside a room.
The man and woman were subsequently taken into custody.
