Woman killed in St Ann crash Christmas morning
An unidentified woman died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision on the Llandovery Main Road in St Ann on Christmas day.
Police say the crash involved a Subaru Impreza motor car and a red Toyota Tercel.
Reports are that around 1:53 am, both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the driver of the Toyota Tercel reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with the Subaru Impreza.
Lawmen say the unidentified woman and three other people, who were in the Toyota Tercel, received injuries and were taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital. The woman later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Subaru Impreza reportedly fled the scene.
This is the third fatal collision the parish has recorded in three days, bringing the number of road fatalities to 42 from 40 fatal crashes.
