Ghanaian handcrafted apparel and accessories brand Geometric is introducing its sustainable designs to Jamaica. The artisanal brand, which features practical ‘fits and bold prints, co-hosted its first in-person pop-up on the Rock, with the handcrafted goods brand Haveli, on Saturday, July 23 at Haveli’s Devon Road location.

Geometric founder Morgan Kret shared that the brand sources its textiles and materials from Ghana, Burkina Faso and Mali and handcrafts the designs with trained and skilled artisans in Ghana. “We have about 10-15 artisans who work closely with the production of the clothes and jewellery. We are very open with our manufacturing process, the entire production in Ghana is recorded,” she pointed out.

Kret continued, “Anyone can visit our YouTube page to see the supply chain. This was done, as we want people to see the evolution of the creations so they can develop a deeper connection with the brand and truly understand what it represents.”

“The word, Geo, which refers to Earth, is all about connection; we all came from the same place and we all create with our hands. What we create and the interception of our crafts is what Geometric embodies.”

Saturday Social was on hand when enthusiasts came out to view the offerings provided by Geometric and Haveli and shares style notes.
