Seagrape Terrace at Half Moon, A RockResort

The Seagrape Terrace is the casual-dining restaurant at the Half Moon Resort that serves up a chic, beautiful seaside option for dining.

Other dining options include Sugar Mill, Il Giardino Italian, and Pepperpot. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and gives diners the options of buffet or a la carte dining. It is the perfect spot for Sunday brunch or afternoon tea.

I’ve had afternoon tea on the Terrace with friends before and it was a pleasant experience with prompt, attentive service and delicious sweet and savoury accompaniments to our tea. My only disappointment is that the tea selection was limited to tea bags, and no loose leaf tea was available. I looked forward to returning for a more substantial meal.

This time, I returned for brunch and the service was just as prompt and attentive as my previous visits for tea. The wait staff is superb, as are the managers who appear to have eagle eyes.

Brunch was egg white omelette with a selection of breakfast pastries and tropical fruit plate. The omelette was a bit dry, but tasty, and the pastries were delicious and done to perfection. There were many other options included on the menu, as well as an extensive buffet.

It would be nice to have extended breakfast into brunch hours on a Sunday, rather than the usual 10:30 am cut-off time for breakfast. The staff was very accommodating though, and serve patiently beyond the cut-off time; I was there till almost noon! And never felt rushed.
