FIREFIGHTERS were, up to Friday afternoon, still trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed "multiple dwellings" at a property on Beresford Street in Jones Town, downtown Kingston, just after midday.

"At the high point of the fire we had five units and about 30 firefighters battling the blaze," a Jamaica Fire Brigade spokesman told the Jamaica Observer.

He also said they had no information on casualties or injuries resulting from the fire.
