VETERAN reggae vocalist Half Pint has been putting together the finishing touches to his forthcoming album. The album, which is earmarked for release in the first quarter of 2011, will be the follow up to his 2008 effort No Stress Express.

That 2008 project, which was released internationally and distributed through Essential Music/Universal Music Group, featured the single Unity, a collaboration with Jack Maness from the Long Beach Dub All Stars. The track filtered on several radio playlists and reggae charts internationally.

Born Lindon Roberts, Half Pint, he is a product of the West Kingston enclave of Rose Lane, a community in adjacent proximity to Trench Town which has produced the likes of Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, and Toots Hibbert among others.

Half Pint shot onto the musical radar in the early 1980’s and has since steadily carved out an enviable niche, scoring a long string of hits, and consistently touring the world.

He is best known for the chart topping treats Winsome, Level the Vibes, Mr Landlord, Just Be Good, One In A Million, and Substitute Lover among others.

Half Pint is currently on tour of Hawaii where he is slated to perform at six shows over a two-week period. No stranger to Hawaii, the singer has a strong fan base in that country where his songs are in consistent rotation.

In an interview via telephone, Half Pint expressed his pleasure at being able to perform in Hawaii. “I like to perform in Hawaii, the people there love reggae, the island vibes is always nice,” said Half Pint.
