Praise Fest for MoBay

ROSE HALL, St James — Faith tourism is earmarked for a boost in June of this year with the scheduled arrival of an estimated 3,000 Christian cruise ship passengers aboard the cruise ship Carnival Destiny to participate in Jamaica Praise Fest 2011 to be staged in western Jamaica.

The goal of the mission, dubbed ‘Cruise with a Cause’, a joint effort between the internationally renown Praise Fest Ministries and the Dove Ministries, is to reach souls through ministries conducted by world renown Christians.

” Our mission is to put together Christian outreach events, bringing high-profile Christian pastors, speakers ministry leaders and music artistes together and in turn bringing together the people who follow them. People from all over the United States and literally around the world will come together for this mission outreach efforts,” Dr Mathew Dunaway, president of Praise Fest Ministries explained.

He noted that the voyage will start on May 30 and go until June 4 with evangelists from various denominations who will be engaged in Christian ministries in western Jamaican schools and prisons across the island.

These series of events, endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board, will culminate in Montego Bay with a grand concert on the popular Dump Up Beach along the waterfront featuring world acclaimed Christians artistes and evangelists such as Donnie McLurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Byron Cage, Casting Crowns, The Crabb Family, Martha Munizzi, Vickie Yohe, Jentezen Franklin, Lex Luger, John Hege, Apostle Daniel and many others.
