Big Tunes I’ve heard lately
Song: Feel So Good
Artistes: Ce’Cile/Courtney John
WAIT a minute — who are those people singing this classic remake of Shirley & Lee’s 1958 monster hit Feel So Good?
The infectious beat, feel-good vibes and the sense of fun coming across from the artistes has an immediate effect on listeners.
You just can’t sit still. Your feet just keep moving to the rhythm of the song.
No questions asked this is one of the most enjoyable collaborations I have listened to in a long time. And to think that if I wasn’t checking out my usual ‘hang-out’ the South Florida-based internet radio station The Foundation Radio Network, I would not have heard it! It is hard to miss the chemistry between Ce’Cile and Courtney John as they add their own sense of style complemented by the sweet reggae beat.
It is a Ce’Cile you have never heard before. In fact, it would be hard for you to tell that it is the same person who has been referred to by many as the ‘bad gyal’ of dancehall.
Courtney John also shows his versatility in Feel So Good as he diverts from the norm to embrace a song that calls for great talent to ensure it lives up to the original which was a huge hit for Shirley & Lee so many years ago.
Feel So Good shows sparks of how creative and versatile dancehall artistes can get.
