WATCH: RAJ to host real estate conference and home owners expo in April

Realty stakeholders will converge in Montego Bay, St James next month to explore the vast potential of the real estate market in Jamaica and across the region.

The International Real Estate Conference and Home Owners Expo 2024 (IREC) is set to take place from April 18 to 20 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

Organised by the Realtors Association of Jamaica (RAJ), the event promises to be an immersive experience that celebrates success, learning, and the vast potential of real estate markets in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

“The RAJ recognises the significant impact of real estate on (Jamaica’s) economic growth in light of the fact that the residential real estate market is projected to reach a value of US$76.73 billion in 2024, thereafter it is expected to grow at an annual rate of about 4.19 per cent resulting in a market volume of US$90.42 billion,” Newton Johnson, president of the RAJ, said at a launch for the event on Wednesday at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston.

“We are excited by these projections and remain committed to playing our part to ensure that our members not only play their part in contributing to the success of the industry but that they do so with the highest level of professionalism which is continually enhanced by the provision of the requisite tools and innovative skills by our association,” Johnson added.

According to the RAJ, attendees of IREC 2024 can also expect to gain insights into the latest best practices, innovations, and the evolving landscape of real estate from industry experts; network in person with an exclusive community of real estate leaders, tech entrepreneurs, and top brokers from across the nation; and discover compelling stories of innovation, resilience, and success within the real estate industry.
