Boyz II Men, Tessanne Chin and Lila Ike for Live and Direc

Live and Direc made its debut in Port Royal last year with a full cast of local acts. This year, the organisers decided to step it up a notch by bringing American vocal quintet Boyz II Men to its second staging, scheduled for October 26 at the UWI Mona Bowl.

“Just expect a real show with live bands. We start at 8 PM and go up until 12 AM. We’re going to have our own local acts on the lineup, Lila Ike and Tessanne Chin and this show is about real music and real singing,” singer Bryan Art who is also a member of the organising team for Live and Direc, told Observer Online at the media launch held at the Pegasus Hotel on Thursday night.

Tessanne Chin said she is looking forward to sharing the stage once again with the American singing group.

“First of all I am a huge fan of Boyz II Men and I’m just really excited and honoured to be sharing the stage with them again. I am looking forward to being on the stage with them again and to also be in the audience,” Chin told Observer Online.

Supreme Ventures, Mayberry Investments, Facey Commodity Limited, Island Grill, and Main Event Entertainment Group are among the major sponsors for the event.

Chloleen Daley Muschett is the Corporate Communications and PR Manager at Supreme Ventures Limited.

“This was an easy decision to partner with the organisers. We are a gaming and event brand, so we also look for opportunities for us to make that synergy between what we do with our lottery products and what is considered standard entertainment,” Daley Muschett disclosed.

She added, “We are giving away 400 VIP tickets to our lucky customers to see Boyz II Men. We’ve made it very easy and very accessible. All you have to do is purchase a cash pot ticket, listen out for a special jingle, and if you hear that special jingle when you’re in store, it means you’ve won 2 tickets and a free cash pot quick print ticket. The promotion runs until October 12. You can also win by following our Instagram page.”
