15 homeless after Drewsland fire
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Close to 15 people were left homeless after a fire of unknown origin destroyed a house on Headley Avenue, Drewsland in Kingston, Friday morning.
Police reports are that at about 2:30 am persons saw smoke coming from the premises and raised an alarm.
Firefighters from the York Park Fire station were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
Residents said the five bedroom house was totally destroyed.
The house was not insured.
