3.0 quake rattles Blue Mountains
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The renowned Blue Mountains was rattled by a 3.0 magnitude earthquake today, but there were no immediate reports on its effect.
The Earthquake Unit at the University of The West Indies, Mona Campus said the quake, which occurred about 5:33 pm, had a focal depth of 16.1 km
The epicentre of the quake was approximately 12 kilometres north of Hagley Gap, St Andrew in the Blue Mountains.
It was also felt in Chancery Hall, St Andrew, the Earthquake Unit reported.
