49-y-o bus driver charged with fraud
ST ANDREW, Jamaica – A man was arrested and charged in connection with several fraud related cases by detectives attached to the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) on July 20.
He is 49-year-old Rowan Grey, a bus driver of Allman Hill, Rock Hall district in St Andrew.
He was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Conspiracy to Defraud
Forgery
Uttering Forged Documents
Obtaining Money by Means of Forged Document
Causing Money to be paid out by Means of Forged Documents
Reports are that between August 2014 and March 2015 Grey allegedly conspired to defraud an insurance company of over a million dollars.
The company discovered the irregularities and reported the matter to the police. An investigation was launched and Grey was subsequently arrested.
He is scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court, Criminal Division, on August 28.
