Alkaline still in police custody

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dancehall artiste Alkaline, who has been in police custody since surrendering himself at 9:00am yesterday for questioning in relation to a murder, remains in custody. 

OBSERVER ONLINE has been informed that no questioning of the deejay took place today. No reason was given for the questioning session not taking place, however, the 23-year-old artiste, whose real name is Earlan Bartley, has not been charged.

Bartley’s attorney Peter Champagnie says he will file for habeus corpus to have him released, if the artiste is not released by Monday.
