Blake to run at Doha Diamond League

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Double Olympic silver medalist Yohan Blake has signed on to his first big meet of the year — the Doha Diamond League meet on May 10th.

Blake will run the 100m, according to the announcement made by the International Association of Athletics Federations Monday.

He is currently the joint second-fastest 100m-runner in history, tied at 9.69 with American Tyson Gay and only bettered by countryman and double individual world record-holder Usain Bolt.

Doha, in the Asian country of Qatar, is the first stop of the 14-city Diamond League series.
