Blame it on the alcohol
Court Round-up
The Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court erupted in laughter on Friday when a man charged with unlawful wounding reasoned that the act was not from him.
Fitzroy Edwards pleaded guilty to hitting the complainant over the head with a piece of metal, causing him to cut and bleed, but noted he had an explanation.
“I was drinking, your honour, so I don’t know what happen,” Edwards said to laughter.
“Mr Edwards, let me tell you something, self intoxication is no excuse sir,” Chief Parish Judge Judith Pusey stated.
“So, pay the court $15,000 or spend six months for the drinks,” she ordered.
