Body believed to be abducted Hanover woman found
HANOVER, Jamaica — The decomposing body of a female believed to be that of abducted Hanover woman, Tasha Gordon, was this afternoon found in the parish.
The 30-year-old resident of a Cauldwell address was kidnapped at about 8:30 pm on Monday, January 10, when her employer, businessman Marvin McIntosh, 36, was gunned down at his grocery shop in Prospect, Green Island.
Deputy Superintendent of Police assigned to the Hanover Police Division, Ainsley McCarthy, said that the body was found at about 2:30 pm in Prospect.
DSP McCarthy said people who knew Gordon are theorising that the body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition, is hers. He also pointed out that a search party had, in January, gone in the direction of where the body was found, but, at the time, made no discovery.
The police, however, found $9,000 and a pair of slippers belonging to the woman shortly after her abduction.
Investigations are continuing, the police say.
