Bolt to be honoured at Racers Grand Prix in June

KINGSTON, Jamaica —The world’s greatest sprinter of all time, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, will run his final competitive race on home soil at the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston on June 10 inside the National Stadium.

The second staging of the Racers Grand Prix, dubbed “Salute to a Legend” will be a tribute to Bolt.

Bolt, 30, the triple world record holder in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay, who will be retiring later this year, was instrumental in putting the Racers Track Club in the map.

The organisers had a sponsor’s luncheon today at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston where it was announced by president Glen Mills that for the first time on Jamaican soil, four world record holders will be in attendance.

However, Mills held back on naming the three other world record holders who will be paying homage to Bolt by attending the meet.
